Le prestigieux concours de l'International Songwriting Competition est maintenant terminé.
Rappelons que le guitariste Lollo Meier participait à ce concours pour sa superbe valse Melody for le Quecumbar dans la section Jazz.
Lollo n'a pas gagné... mais a remporté une mention "honorable" auprès des "professionels de la profession", comme on dit ! Et ce qui est également remarquable, c'est qu'il a tout de même terminé 22ème par les votes du public !!!. On peut donc tous s'auto-congratuler de s'être autant mobilisé pour envoyer nos votes...
Voici une copie du mail de congratulations adressé à Lollo par l'ISC :
Dear Lollo,
As the founder and director of the International Songwriting Competition, it is my honor and pleasure to personally congratulate you again and inform you that the song "Melody For Le Quecumbar" has won Honorable Mention in the "Jazz" category in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition (ISC). We are very proud of this accomplishment and thank you for entering this song into ISC this year.
ISC received almost 15,000 entries from 82 countries throughout the world, so this acknowledgement of the song by ISC and its judges is a noteworthy achievement.
